Blessed but "Why me"?

These 2 girls bring me such immense joy. Their beautiful spirits, bright smiles and endless energy make my life so full! It is so easy to question God when terrible events happen to us, but do we ever stop to ponder "why me" concerning the blessings in our lives? Why did he choose imperfect me to mother these sweet girls? Why are we blessed with healthy children when others are not so fortunate? Why are we so overwhelmingly lucky to live in a country where freedom is a right and millions of men and women in our history have given their lives to preserve it? Why am I so blessed? I hope to count my blessings more in 2009 and measure my losses/failures less. Why? Because I want the Lord above to see my gratitude for the joy he has placed in my heart and my life. That will be my thanks back to him. Happy 2009!!
