Day 4

Two more families came for the merriment of Christmas Card mini sessions today and it was perfect weather!  My good friend, "K", has 3 adorable kiddos  and they did really well (I know you were nervous!)  I love the pile on picture of the 3 of them together.  The "A" family traveled a good way to come back to see me.  They participated in my summer mini sessions in the meadow.  When the kids remember you, the session goes more smoothly so we were even able to work in a wardrobe change.  Those Christmas dresses are too cute on the girls!  Your full galleries will be up tomorrow and stay tuned, blog readers, for more sessions at the lake this weekend.  8 more to come.  Yep, you read that right.  I said 8- yikes!!

Day 3

Are you kidding me?  I should have paid the "M" family v. the other way around.  They absolutely look like a model family.  All the kids were so well-behaved and we got a tremendous amount of beautiful images in well under an hour.  Days like this are so exciting to me as a photographer!!  I knew we were making great images through my lens but I am even happier with the results now.  You will have a hard time choosing which one to include on that Christmas card, "M" family.  It was my pleasure to work with you today- enjoy!

Day 2

Bbbbrrrrrrr!!  Who turned down the heat?  Today's sessions were a bit "brisk" but the scenery was perfect.  I had 2 more sweet families to photograph and I really like the images we got. The "S" family's kids have lots of energy and I think we captured that today- love that bridge shot of the kids skipping!  The "P" family wanted that perfect Christmas card to show off new baby "G" along with their fur baby.  Your full galleries will be posted on Friday- enjoy the preview!

Christmas Card Mini Sessions- Day 1

Today's sessions with the "S" and "W" families kicked off a week of Christmas Card Mini Sessions.  These are my most popular mini sessions of the year because we focus on that one great family shot for your holiday card.  We mix in a few other fun things around the lake too.  The kids loved running on the bridge, looking for the geese, tossing leaves in the air and enjoying one fantastic fall day.  Enjoy your sneak peek pictures!  All galleries will be posted on Friday.

The Cobbler's Kids

My husband made the joke that our own kids and family never have professional pictures taken since I am always on the other side of the lens.  Well we can't say the "the cobbler's kids have no shoes" anymore!  My dear friend, Laura of Stikeleather Photography, did an outstanding job of photographing my clan yesterday.  I know there is a little extra pressure on when you are trying to capture a fellow photographer's family but she absolutely rose to the challenge.  I am more than pleased with her work and wanted to share our pictures with my blog readers.  So here they are- the joy of my heart caught on film.

Family Affair

This couple had the cutest flower girl ever!  She is their daughter and what a little cutie.  Mom and Dad were overjoyed to share their special day with her.  I focused on lots of family shots this wedding and of course, the dance floor pictures.  I think EVERY guest danced at this one and we smiled a lot during the reception.  Thanks for the entertainment, "H" family and may God bless you in your new life together.

Throwback Wedding

This bride has amazing style and this wedding showed it!  All of the bridesmaids had their hair done in 50's style soft waves and the color choices were perfect.  This was a fall wedding styled to perfection.  The adventurous wedding party even let us shoot them in uptown Charlotte and I love the waterfall shot.  Oh, and that flower in the bride's hair was the perfect touch.  Thanks for the glamour and the lovely gift of photographing your special day, "A" and "B".
