Just Showing Off...

some of my clients' beautiful Christmas cards.  I have enjoyed creating these with each of you and wanted to post some of my favorites.  Isn't it great to have your Christmas cards done before Thanksgiving?  Hey, that first family looks a lot like my own :)  I love this time of year!

Encore Performance

I know, I know, I said my last post was my last session of the season.  But doesn't every great performance end with one more encore?  Well I am very proud to end my season on this beautiful note.  "N" and "N" were lovely little girls- both inside and out.  I tried to capture their sweet spirits in these images.  You would never know that is was icy cold and the wind was whipping their hair every which way.  What little troopers!!  Thanks for an amazing session, girls.  I still think that you practiced :)PhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucket
See Mom, aren't you glad you jumped in a few shots? A tall Swedish blonde should never miss a chance like this!

A perfect ending...

...to my fall lake sessions for 2008.  The leaves have blanketed the ground, the temperatures have cooled off  and the wind is whipping through the trees.  So, today was my very last family session at the beautiful lake that has served me and several dozen families well this season.  The "F" family was really nice to work with.  They were easy-going and very photogenic which made my job easy.  I absolutely love the individuals of the kids from today and Mom and Dad will have a hard time picking favorites too.  Your gallery will be up at the end of the week so until then, enjoy the preview pictures.  Oh, and take a seat because I am showing you lots!PhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucket

Christmas Cuties

Cute...so cute....crazy cute.  These 3 sisters will melt your heart!  Those eyes, those curls-uh!  What more can I say?  We had a great time at the train station today and the girls looked adorable in their Christmas dresses.  Might I add, mom even painted those little fingernails red.  It was my pleasure to photograph these darlings again.  Merry Christmas to the "W" family indeed!PhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucket
Baby sister "A" with her big, chubby grin.  Love it!

Autumn Wedding

I absolutely love the colors of fall.  This bride made perfect choices with brown bridesmaids' gowns and persimmon flowers.  These details made the beautiful fall leaves look even more vibrant and I know she will love these images.  Thanks for the opportunity to witness this sweet union of two very nice people.  May God bless your new life together, "A" and "J".

Uncomplicated

As we draw closer to December, all of our lives are about to get really complicated.  Complicated by holiday shopping, Christmas parties and cookie swaps, the frenzy of addressing cards, the stress that family gatherings bring and all of the mayhem of the season.  These beautiful images of the "R" family reminded me of just how simple life can and should be.  I did not have the pleasure of shooting this family myself as I am still recovering from surgery, but my friend, L, did a wonderful job of capturing the gentle, loving spirit of this family.  Can't you just feel it?  Don't you see the joy that these 4 people bring to one another's lives?  Doesn't it make you want to hug someone, dog gone it???  In the end, all we really need in this life is the simple gift of family.  People to love you, make you laugh, cook you a warm meal, dry your tears, celebrate your milestones and throw leaves in your hair during a family photo session.  Oh, and this little boy gets my "all-time best smoochie picture award".  Hands down.  Come on, could that little pucker be any sweeter?  Enjoy your sneak peek pics, "R" family, and thank you for revealing your uncomplicated love for each other through the lens of a camera.  I love my job.PhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucket

Growing Family

I first met the "T" family last fall about 2 weeks after the birth of their fourth child.  Look at them now!  That newborn phase is well behind them and now they are busy chasing after 2 active little boys plus an older brother and sister.  Whew!  I know you will love these great images from yesterday.  What a perfect fall day and excellent wardrobe choices on Mom's part.  Enjoy your preview pictures and thanks to my dear friend, L, for photographing this great family while I was under the weather.  Couldn't have done it better myself!PhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucket

Brown Eyed Girl

God works in some mysterious but awesome ways.  Last summer, I happened to see this pretty, brown-eyed girl in the park.  I was playing with my youngest and noticed she was taking pictures of a little girl.  I strolled over and asked if she was a professional photographer and we exchanged e-mails.  Well, 7 months later, we now shoot weddings together and enjoy a wonderful friendship.  It was my honor to photograph her sweet family for their Christmas cards.  Just look at the brown eyes on all these cuties!  L, I am so glad God put you in my life both professionally and personally.  I treasure our friendship and look forward to many more fun photo ops together too.
