Baby makes 5

What an adorable, growing family!  Mom is expecting girl #3 in a few months and wanted one last  family picture of the foursome.  Aren't her little darlings just that....darling?  The one of "LK" running towards me reminds me of exactly why I love family and children photography.  Childhood should be full of fun, laughter and wonder and capturing moments like that is a joy for me.  The "S" family will have a hard time picking a favorite Christmas card photo this year. Enjoy!

Irish Eyes

These red-haired, blue eyed kiddos were fun to photograph!  My own red-headed mother always wished for children with this color combination but she got 3 blondes instead.  "H" and "C" are moving away from the kid phase and into the teenage years.  They wanted their pictures over and done with so we moved fast and voila!!  I am pleased with our results.  Their mom was Layne's assistant teacher last year and Miss "Y"  is dearly loved in this household.  I can't wait to hear which ones are your favorites "Y" familyPhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucket

Something Old, Something New

What a beautiful wedding!!  The bridesmaids wore a gorgeous royal blue, the bride and groom made a handsome couple and the reception location was beautiful.  It makes my job easy on a wedding day.  My favorite part of the whole night was watching the bride's 88 year-old grandmother tear up the dance floor ALL night long.  I am not exaggerating- she did a mean Twist, went "a little bit softer now" to Shout,  showed us how much she loved Beach Music,  and the picture below was taken when she was Bringin' Sexy Back.  It was hilarious!  I only hope to be half that spunky 5 decades from now.  May God bless your new marriage, Jennifer and A.W.  It was a blast shooting your special dayPhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucket

Covered Bridge

When life gives you lemons, make lemonade, right?  Well when God gives you rain, improvise at a different location!  The "S" family really wanted meadow portraits but when we pulled up, there were more than a few drops on our windshields.  Mom and Dad worked so hard to get the kiddos perfectly coifed so we decided to head to a nearby covered bridge and shoot under shelter.  The location served us very well, kept us dry and provided a beautiful backdrop for these family portraits.  Little "M" was tough to catch but the one of her close up is a personal favorite (or victory!).  Enjoy this preview!

And finally....the long awaited family portrait in the meadow.  Never say never!

Lopez wedding

Wow!  After only 3 weddings, I got to shoot Mario Lopez's wedding today.  I did.  I really did.  No, no, no...don't alert the Enquirer.  He IS a Mario Lopez but not necessarily THE Mario Lopez! Regardless, tonight was a lot of fun.  The grounds were gorgeous and fun was had by all.  Thanks for letting me share in your day, Mario and Jessica.  God bless your new life together.

Duck, duck, goose!

Couldn't you just eat these precious ones with a spoon?  I had the pleasure of photographing "C" and "H" three different times in the last year.  It is such a thrill to see them grow with each passing session.  Little H actually ran right up to me and squeezed my knees at hello!  He calls his big sis, "Goose", and the two of them loved playing at the lake this day.  We searched for our favorite ducks but they didn't feel like participating in our photo shoot.  Their loss since I pulled out my silly dance and other tricks to get big smiles out of these two. Enjoy the sneak peek, Mom. It is always great to see you and your sweet kiddos.PhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucket

One adventurous mama

What a great couple!  "S" and "F" are expecting both their one year wedding anniversary and first baby this fall.  The love was flowing this session!  They were so willing to try out my crazy ideas and "F" even held props, fluffed scarves and handled wardrobe for us.  I think all of our efforts paid off and I am very proud of these images.  I know you will love them all too but here is a sneak peek of the best.  May God bless the tiny baby boy growing inside "S" and continue to pour out his blessings on your young marriage.
