Happy. happy. joy. joy.

How else can I describe this incredibly nice family?  I love my clients!  The "R" family was a pleasure to work with and we got some sweet smiles out of little "A".  She was the classic case of a child who does not do well at a studio session but THRIVES in an outdoor session.  That is why I chose to shoot outdoors 99% of the time.  Children come alive in nature and their true personalities have freedom to shine.  Thanks for a fun day at the covered bridge.  Oh, and congratulations on baby #2 due in March.  May that child add even more joy to your precious family.

Natural Beauty

What a beautiful session.  My friend, "K", invited me out to her family's property to photograph her sweet daughters and their horses.  God could not have made a more picturesque day.  The wind was cool, the leaves were falling and their land was bathed in sunlight.  The images we got are truly breathtaking.  I hope you enjoy this sneak peek- the gallery has at least a dozen more beauties.  Thanks for a perfect fall afternoonPhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucket

Announcing Storyboards!!

PhotobucketGiggle-pure joy; accompanying secrets of young girls; giddy laughter

That is the tagline on this storyboard and it describes how I feel about this new offering from In His Image Photography. I have been admiring these precious storyboards for a long time. So, I decided to give it a whirl and I am thrilled with the results. These will be available just in time for the preschool orders and I think they are perfect for children's pictures.  They print as one 10 x 20 large picture and allow you showcase several of your favorite shots.  The sweet captions say things like-

PhotobucketGirl-daughter; a beauty full of delight; pure sweetnessPhotobucketLoud- high in volume and intensity; not quiet; synonym:boy

Contact juliestaley@mac.com for pricing.  I can't wait to print more of these for the preschool cuties!!

More Siblings

I photographed "N" at one of the preschools last week and he brought along his darling sister, "A", to the weekend sibling shoot.  I expected her to be very camera shy which is very typical for one year olds.  Little Miss "A" surprised us all by flashing those pretty eyes at my camera and even showing off a few tricks for us.  "N" did well too and he really livened up when he got to wear his Superman cape for a few shots.  It was fun to work with you "S" family.  Enjoy!

Sibling Sessions

Today was just pure fun for me.  I added on some sibling sessions to my preschool shoots at my favorite lake area.  Since the kids were already familiar with me and my big black camera, the smiles flowed freely!  I love these images of the "S" kids and I hope mom will feel the same way.  More previews will be coming this week.  Stay tuned :)

Pasketti Pictures

Have you ever asked a child age 4 and under to pronounce the word "spaghetti"?  Well, 99% of the time, they can't.  It comes out as some version of "pasketti".  These childish quirks remind me of why I love shooting this age group.  Here are a few of my favorites from this week's preschool pictures.  It's a lot of work but these sessions rekindle my love for children's photography.  Children really are precious in his (and my) sight!
